SutureSelf Band Poster

This here is a Poster I just finished for my buddy Brandon's band SutureSelf. He liked the last one I did with the band in the zombie apocalypse so he asked for another with "...maybe something with Vikings." Tried a different approach this time. I wanted to avoid a comic set up where I do the linework and shading  with black and grey and then lay the color over that. so I tried treating this one like a painting, still starting with a drawing but then building it all up with layers of color. this was really kinda hard but also kinda neat, lookin forward to my next digital painting already. I dont have a step by step for this one but i did find the rough sketch I gave to Brandon for the approval. so take a look, hope you enjoy.

Snap Shot

I tend to throw mod targets on chicks alot. I just assume everyone is an anglophile. I really dig this illustration, it took a bit to get her hair the way I wanted it, or to be honest, to decide HOW I wanted it. I think I was able to get the dreamy, but not scary feel that I was aiming for. The actual print size is 11x17. I included a close up, of the confrontation in the piece. I used a combination of photoshop and illustrator for this lil number, hope you enjoy it.

Here is a family portrait I did for my friend Maribel who wanted something to put up for her house warming party. After giving her specific instructions on how to cut it out for a table topper, offering to include a template for that, and going over what paper to print on, she then decided to just print it up on copy paper and tack it to a board.

gal in a parka

This was just for fun. orange and grey is my new favorite color scheme. shes a cool gal i think, representing both the Marvel and DC universes. No petty side choosing for her. ...thats a mod target btw, not a "Target" target. She's prob waiting for the bus right now as its too snowy to take out the Vespa.

we'll make great pets...

these are illustrations i did as an assignment in class to promote adoption for the Anti-Cruelty Society. wanted to keep it simple by using as little lines as i could. I also wanted to get away from the sad eyed, abused animal angle, and focus on the rewards of  rescuing a pet. Also, I'm promoting codependency. So there's that too.
