Proud Kitty

Just for the hell of it, Kitty Pryde vs Robocop.  Pretty sure this is how it would go down.

Code of The Woods!

This was a recent job I did for the guys over at The Code of The Woods podcast. They needed a banner for their site and a profile picture. The podcast is all about gaming; video games, D&D, Warhammer, etcetera, It's a really good podcast complete with radio theatre, you should check it out here http://www.codeofthewoods.com/ .Give it a go even if you don't know a lot about these games. I don't know a lot about them, and I still enjoy it.
The overall idea was theirs, one guy, Rob, riding a bear  and the other, Chris, atop an eagle, both riding into battle against a horde of miscellaneous baddies. The hardest part of this illustration was trying to fit all of it into a frame that would fit in the space allotted for the banner. I really like the way it came out though. Had a ball just cramming in bad guys.
For the profile pic I had the idea of creating fake Magic the Gathering cards for each of the guys. I just hadda find a way to convey the ideas in a tiny amount of space. I'm really proud of the magic mace that Rob is holding on the right, came out pretty cool.  all in all this project is definitely one of my favorites. Go check out their page to see it all in action.

Robo-Bones

This was a poster I made for myself. wanted something neat to put up in the office that wasn't gonna be offensive to anyone but still cool. So I figured I like robots, and I like skeletons... so a robot with a skeleton! I did the whole thing in Illustrator except the background and some color adjustments which were done in Photoshop.

GAME OVER MAN! GAME OVER!

I did this a while back just for fun and some practice. I think its kinda neat. I think I got the cheap 80's comic look down. It"s a comic cover you would've never seen because it would have been cut off, and the comic thrown into the nickel bin. ..and yeah an Alien spoof.

SutureSelf Band Poster

This here is a Poster I just finished for my buddy Brandon's band SutureSelf. He liked the last one I did with the band in the zombie apocalypse so he asked for another with "...maybe something with Vikings." Tried a different approach this time. I wanted to avoid a comic set up where I do the linework and shading  with black and grey and then lay the color over that. so I tried treating this one like a painting, still starting with a drawing but then building it all up with layers of color. this was really kinda hard but also kinda neat, lookin forward to my next digital painting already. I dont have a step by step for this one but i did find the rough sketch I gave to Brandon for the approval. so take a look, hope you enjoy.

Snap Shot

I tend to throw mod targets on chicks alot. I just assume everyone is an anglophile. I really dig this illustration, it took a bit to get her hair the way I wanted it, or to be honest, to decide HOW I wanted it. I think I was able to get the dreamy, but not scary feel that I was aiming for. The actual print size is 11x17. I included a close up, of the confrontation in the piece. I used a combination of photoshop and illustrator for this lil number, hope you enjoy it.

Here is a family portrait I did for my friend Maribel who wanted something to put up for her house warming party. After giving her specific instructions on how to cut it out for a table topper, offering to include a template for that, and going over what paper to print on, she then decided to just print it up on copy paper and tack it to a board.
